Hot List Silver 2023

Our Review:

WHAT IT DOES: A mallet that looks like this typically would not be so easy to square at impact because the center of gravity is so far back from the face. But the CG here is actually close to the face because of the combination of eight distinct parts, including a heavy dose of steel on top and in front, aluminum in the back and sides, and a thermoplastic urethane “brick” in the middle. Conveniently, all of these parts make for a design that’s highly forgiving on mis-hits. WHY WE LIKE IT: That cornucopia of materials and science is certainly crucial to maximizing performance, but we also use mallets because they’re easy to aim. This one achieves that mission with four alignment features and four hosel options to help you and the putter execute the same line you see. Read more>>>

Which One's For Me?
2-Ball
The classic aiming feature on this squarish mallet uses a line of two solid white circles centered on top extending from the front of the putter to the back. It uses a double bend shaft for a face-balanced setup. That makes it ideal for straight-back, straight through putting strokes with minimal face rotation.
2-Ball Triple Track
Built on the 2-Ball aiming platform on this squarish mallet, the white circles include the three red-blue-red parallel aiming lines seen on the Callaway golf balls with the Triple Track markings. It features a double bend shaft for a face-balanced setup. That makes it ideal for straight-back, straight through putting strokes with minimal face rotation.
2-Ball Lined DB
Built on the 2-Ball aiming platform on this squarish mallet, the white circles include centered black lines for additional alignment aid. It features a double bend shaft (DB) for a face-balanced setup. The DB makes it ideal for straight-back, straight through putting strokes with minimal face rotation.
Tour Lined DB
These squarish mallets use a single, centered white aiming line on top. They feature either a double bend shaft (DB) for a face-balanced setup or a short slant neck hosel (SN) for toe hang. The DB makes it ideal for straight-back, straight through putting strokes with minimal face rotation. The SN is best for arcing strokes with some face rotation.
2-Ball Lined SN
Built on the 2-Ball aiming platform on this squarish mallet, the white circles include centered black lines for additional alignment aid. It features a short slant neck hosel (SN) for toe hang. The SN is best for arcing strokes with some face rotation.
Tour Lined SN
These squarish mallets use a single, centered white aiming line on top. It features a short slant neck hosel (SN) for toe hang. The SN is best for arcing strokes with some face rotation.

Player Comments
Low-Handicapper
"I like the set up. I don't find the ball alignment extremely helpful. The placement of the hands is good. Light head and impact gave you a nice, soft feeling and was able to keep the putter on line."
Handicap, 5
High-Handicapper
"The alignment with the two-ball is really easy every time. There's a lot going on with the weighting system but it's blended in well. I like the interaction between the ball and the face. A very pleasing feel in the hands. You feel like you have total control of where the ball's going to go. Absolutely deadly on the knee-knocker distance. You feel always square and the putter just tracks."
Handicap, 15
Medium-Handicapper
“Slightly more compact than the others. The alignment lines are effective, and the insert provides a soft feel. The ball rolls true every time.”
Handicap, 9
